Name:
Caroline Burns AKA Caz
Age: 27
From: Leamington Spa
Occupation?
After years in retail management I have finally got
myself a mon-fri 9-5 job With Cheltenham and Gloucester
assessing mortgages. I’m really enjoying it
as get the weekends off to spend with Ben and our
daughter Carly-Rose The only downside to the job is
no internet access…which is probably a good
thing as I wouldn’t get any work done!
Describe
yourself in three words?
Outgoing, Thoughtful and funny…although I’m
the only one laughing sometimes…
Tell
us something unusual about yourself?
I’ve got freaky arms apparently. They bend backwards!
Tell
us how you became interested in dance music?
I was always a bit of an indie/goth chick until I
turned 18 but as soon as I started going out I really
got into dance music. I got well into Dj’s like
Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and Nick Warren, and had loads
of cd’s but had never been proper clubbing.
Natali (Mulleredagain) took me to Crazy Daisy’s
mid 99 and I haven’t looked back since! I was
amazed by it all it was such a great club with excellent
music and Dj’s like J00f, Scott Bond, Guy Ornadel
and Luke Neville.
Can
you remember the first DJ you ever heard play in a
club and where was it?
Well the cheesy clubs in Leamington don’t count,
ha ha. When I lived in Birmingham back in 97/98 I
used to work behind the bar at Rosie O’Briens
in Sutton Coldfield. One of the Dj’s there was
Chris Turner one of the residents at Godskitchen.
Tunes like Greece 2000, Binary Finary and Café
Del Mar got played and I remember thinking wow!
What
has been your most memorable night in a club so far-
and tell us why?
Most memorable night was at PaSSion when they had
Oceanlab live! Hearing Clear Blue water, Sky falls
down, Beautiful together and Satellite was just incredible.
Above and Beyond are just amazing, and Anjunabeats
has got to be one of the best labels out there at
the moment.
What
is your all-time favourite tune?
If I have to choose one then it’d have to be
Moon Project Moments are forever. I am such a big
M.I.K.E fan. Along with L.Vee the man’s a genius!
Tell
us a funny story from your clubbing experiences?
Got to be between Me making Ben some red furry shorts
to wear to Gatecrasher in Sept 2000, (they were rubbish,
and he got told he couldn’t come in with them
on haha) or the time when we all did a milk run in
wigs after we’d been to Crazy Daisy’s.
People walking their dogs must’ve thought we
were mad! Our mate jumped a wall caught his foot,
went flying, battered his elbow but somehow managed
to save the bottle of milk in his hand!
Your
support for the site has been fantastic and is greatly
appreciated- tell us which other sites you like and
why? Really enjoy talking to likeminded people through
the message boards?
I
love the Godskitchen and Passion message boards, but
have to say this is the best out of the lot, its friendly
atmosphere and input from yourself make it a pleasure
to come on. Other sites I like are Ebay, Ets-Global
and Tranceairwaves.
And
finally, give us your motto for life in one sentence?
Always look at the bigger picture!
